Easy Way To Make A Good Pizza

A pizza is a round, oven-baked, open pie made with yeast dough and smothered with generous amounts of premium toppings, like strained tomatoes with savory vegetables and other seasonings cheese, and a variety of other ingredients.

A lot of factors must be taken in to the consideration to make a perfect and delightful pizza. The recipe of the dough, the resting time and the baking determine the quality of Pizza.

The production of the pizza base from a dough sheet is also an important thing to desire the quality and taste, If the round shape of the dough is discredited in this step, the desired taste can no longer be achieved, not even with the best ingredients.

The mandatory ingredients to make a good pizza are the crust dough (flour), Cheese, sufficient amount of water and yeast. Shortening, salt and sugar are also included.

• Use high-protein flour because protein makes the crust tough enough to stand up to the water and other ingredients.

• Water is vital role in the dough making because it brings all the ingredients together.

• While using yeast, pizza dough is prettier and it will be so soft and texture.

• Yeast, a leavening agent, makes the dough rise. Yeast also makes the dough more pliable and easy to maneuver.

• Salt provides extra flavor. It also slows the fermentation process.

• Shortening increases the pliability and moisture of the dough by providing lubrication.

• The amount of sugar changes the fermentation rate.

After you add all the flour, kneads you dough using your hand, the dough ball should not stick in the bowl then cover the dough, wait for 15 mins, Now the dough ball is double in size, punch it down, pick the dough and make the pizza base, wrap it and keep it in the refrigerator for an hour.

The pizza base must be prebaked before the toppings are added. It is baked for roughly 8 minutes at a temperature of 450F. Oil is drizzled over the base before the toppings are added to prevent the ingredients' moisture leaking into the dough. Tomato puree is added next, followed by the other ingredients. The pizza is then baked for around 15 minutes.

After baking with the toppings, the pizza is cooled quickly to below 37 F. This is done to limit the growth of bacteria. The pizza can then be frozen to prevent spoilage.

The pizzas are covered in plastic foil, which is then treated with heat, causing it to shrink and wrap around the pizza. Additionally, a type of gas is sometimes used that prevents bacteria from growing. Often, the pizza is packaged in cardboard boxes to prevent damage during transportation.

There are many types of pizza’s available in the market some of them are Hand Tossed Pizza, Deep Pan Pizza, Stone Baked Pizza, Veg Pizza, Non-Veg Pizza, White Pizza, Multi Layered Pizza, Dry Pizza, Cone Pizza etc.,

For a good and perfect pizza use unbleached, all purpose flour or whole bread flour, Use right amount of Yeast and then let the yeast rest, rub down the dough enormously and Cook it at correct temperature.

Pizza recipe

I rarely buy pizza any more since I finally got the hang of making pizza dough - and using a pizza stone makes a huge difference on getting a crisp crust.

Pizza Dough

1 T active dry yeast (or 1 packet)
1 T sugar
3 T olive oil
1 1/4+ cups warm water
3+ cups flour
1 t salt
2 cups cheese

In mixing bowl add yeast, warm water and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until yeast froths up. Add olive oil, and flour, mix until roughly blended with dough hook. Add salt, and mix until dough is coming away from the sides of the bowl, but sticks to the bottom of the bowl, and looks smooth and well kneaded (3-5 minutes). If it seems too wet and sticky, add more flour 1 tbsp at a time. If it's too dry, follow the same procedure with water.

Once dough is well kneaded in mixer, remove hook and cover bowl with a cloth or plastic wrap. Let rise 1-2 hours until doubled. 30-45 minutes before you plan to make pizza, start preheating pizza stone at 425 degrees.

Turn out dough and divide into two for 2 medium-large pizzas as pictured above. press out into shapes you want on parchment paper. Brush crust with olive oil, add your favorite sauce and toppings, and when the pizza stone is hot, slide one of the pizzas on to it and cook for 11-14 minutes. For just cheese and pepperoni you should check at 11 minutes. Heavily topped pizzas can take the longest.

Notes: I always made the dough too dry until I learned the important trick where it is perfect when the dough comes clean off the sides of the bowl, but sticks to the bottom when running at medium speed. It's just an excellent way to tell that the moisture content is right without having to touch a thing.

You may wonder how the heck to move a pizza around on parchment paper. It's good to have one of those sideless cookie sheets to pull the parchment on to, but if you don't have one, just use a normal big cookie pan turned upside down. Heck, use a piece of cardboard. It isn't going into the oven to stay there so who cares how you deliver the pizza.

Lastly, if you're planning to make say 4 smaller personal pizzas instead of the 2 big ones, set your cooking time to 9 minutes and check doneness. Lightly topped may be done by then, heavy toppings could need 12 minutes.
